Psychotherapist
About the role
Job Summary
We’re looking for a caring, collaborative Psychotherapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Elemenoe, where speech-language pathology, ABA, and mental health support work together.
About us
Elemenoe is a collaborative clinic in Waterloo, Ontario, where speech-language pathologists, ABA clinicians, and psychotherapists work side by side to support children, teens, and families. Our sister practice, Evergreen Communication Therapy, supports adults living with stroke and aphasia. Across both, our approach is neuroaffirming, strengths-based, and built around what matters to each person and their family.
We’re especially excited to hear from clinicians who have worked alongside SLPs and/or ABA providers and value that kind of interdisciplinary teamwork.
What you’ll do
- Provide individual psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan, within your scope of practice and registration
- Complete intake, screening, and assessment, including intake forms, questionnaires, and clinical observation
- Build treatment plans and goals with clients and, where appropriate, their caregivers, and review progress regularly
- Write clear, timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment summaries, and discharge reports
- Collaborate with our SLP and ABA clinicians, and consult with outside healthcare providers, educators, and caregivers, always within privacy and confidentiality requirements
- Take part in intake coordination, case reviews, and team meetings
- Keep accurate records in our practice management system
What we’re looking for
- Registration in good standing with an Ontario College that authorizes the practice of psychotherapy (for example, CRPO, OCSWSSW, or CPO)
- Experience working with children, teens, and/or families, experience with adults is an asset but not required
- Experience collaborating with SLPs and/or ABA clinicians is a strong asset
- Comfort working in a neuroaffirming, strengths-based framework
- Strong clinical writing and organization skills
How to apply
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter telling us about your experience working with SLP and/or ABA teams and why you think you'd be a great addition to our team.
