About the role

Shape the future of automated container terminals

Do you combine strong engineering expertise with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and uncover commercial opportunities? Siemens Cranes Project House is looking for an experienced Technical Account Manager who can turn complex automation challenges into clear, valuable solutions for customers worldwide.

About the role

Siemens Cranes Project House is a global player in crane electrification, automation and digitalization. We deliver integrated hardware and software solutions for highly automated harbor crane operations, from digital twin simulations to fully automated crane systems.

In this role, you join a Netherlands-based sales team of six colleagues and work closely with the global account management organization. You act as the technical and commercial bridge between customers, sales teams and engineering experts. Your technical credibility is essential: you understand industrial automation and use that knowledge to advise customers, shape solutions, and create sustainable business growth.

The international scope of the position involves approximately 20% travel, including regular intercontinental business trips that typically last one week.

You'll create impact by

  • Translating complex customer challenges into technically sound and commercially attractive solution concepts, together with sales and engineering colleagues.
  • Preparing technical and commercial proposals and actively supporting contract negotiations in coordination with management and key stakeholders.
  • Building and expanding trusted relationships with management teams, technical experts, OEMs and end users in the global crane industry.
  • Supporting the sales organization in achieving targets and developing opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
  • Analyzing markets, customer needs, technology trends and competing portfolios to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Developing business plans and maintaining accurate opportunity reporting in CRM systems.

Your success is grounded in

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related field is required. A master's degree or specialization in automation is advantageous.
  • At least five years of relevant B2B experience in a technical account management, sales engineering, or comparable customer-facing role within an international, complex project environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical automation systems and the ability to discuss solutions credibly with engineering experts and customers.
  • Experience in the container port, terminal handling, or crane industry; closely related heavy-industry automation experience may also be relevant.
  • A winning combination of engineering experience and strong interpersonal skills: you communicate clearly, listen carefully, present convincingly, and influence stakeholders at every level.
  • The ability to collaborate across functions, manage several bids or opportunities simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail under time pressure.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, combined with a willingness to travel internationally; additional languages and international experience are advantages.

Even if you do not meet every requirement, we still look forward to receiving your application.

What we offer

  • A competitive salary based on your experience, knowledge, and education, with a Benefits Budget of 22,63% on top.
  • Flexible and hybrid working, with time spent at the office, customer locations, and from home.
  • Continuous development through a broad, high-quality learning and training offering.
  • The opportunity to get to know your colleagues quickly via YoungSiemens and/or a buddy program.
  • A professional, international environment where technical expertise, collaboration, and entrepreneurship are valued.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about finding your next role

What can I search for?

Search by job title or keyword, then browse remote, hybrid, and onsite openings in one list.

Where can I find remote jobs?

Browse remote openings on Remote Amigo. Search by job title or keyword, then choose Remote in the work format filter. Check each listing for location or country requirements.

How do I narrow the results?

Choose a country, work format, minimum annual salary, and experience level. You can change or clear the filters at any time.

What will I see on a job page?

Each listing shows the role, company, location, work format, salary when available, skills when provided, and a job description.

Do I need an account to browse jobs?

No. You can search and read the available listings without signing in.

Does this site submit job applications for me?

No. You can search and review listings here. The Apply button starts the job preference quiz; it does not submit an application to an employer.

Where do the jobs come from?

Listings are imported from public job feeds and job sites. Job details may change at the original source, so confirm the latest information before applying.

How recent are the listings?

Search results include listings with a publication date in the last 30 days. If a source provides no publication date, the import date is used; the actual posting may be older.

Can I search for remote jobs only?

Yes. Select Remote in the job type filter to show remote listings. You can switch to Hybrid or Onsite whenever you want.

What is the difference between remote, hybrid, and onsite?

Remote roles are intended to be done away from an office. Hybrid roles combine remote and office work. Onsite roles are based at a workplace. Always read the listing for its exact location requirements.

Can I filter jobs by country?

Yes. Choose a country in the search form to narrow the listings. A remote role may still have country restrictions, so check its description before applying.

Why do some jobs have no salary listed?

Some listings do not include pay information. We show a salary when it is available and leave it out when it is not provided.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?

Yes. Change the keyword, country, job type, salary, or level in the search form. You can clear individual fields and run a broader search again.
