About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and articulate Business Analyst to join our Know Your Customer (KYC) Technology team. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between our Compliance, Business, and Technology teams, ensuring seamless communication and mutual understanding. You will be instrumental in translating complex regulatory and business needs into precise technical requirements for our enterprise-wide KYC application, directly contributing to the strength and integrity of our global financial crime prevention framework

Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Elicitation and Definition: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior decision-makers, system owners, and end-users, to elicit, document, and translate complex compliance and business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for our enterprise-wide Know Your Customer (KYC) application.
  • System and Process Analysis: Conduct thorough systems analysis, defining clear project scopes, outcome-based criteria, and success metrics to guide development and implementation efforts. You will perform in-depth analysis of current business processes to identify operational gaps and propose and specify necessary process changes, data source integrations, and system interfaces to enhance our KYC capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Advisory: Serve as a subject matter expert, offering strategic advice to business and operations teams on the use of KYC technology. You will help define and enforce operational standards and best practices, ensuring procedures are understood and followed.
  • Information Synthesis and Prioritization: Synthesize and prioritize business needs from various stakeholders, validating information to ensure a clear and focused development roadmap.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Actively manage and mitigate risk in all business decisions. This includes ensuring the firm's reputation is protected, safeguarding Citigroup's assets and clients, and strictly adhering to all applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and KYC laws, rules, and regulations. You will be responsible for applying sound ethical judgment, escalating control issues with full transparency, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of proven experience in a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst role, preferably within the financial services industry, is a must.
  • Product development experience and/ or knowledge is required
  • Agile & Tools Proficiency: Demonstrable experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment is essential. Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for managing requirements and project tracking is required.
  • Domain Knowledge: Direct experience with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and processes is required. A strong command of business analysis methodologies and concepts is essential, complemented by a solid foundational knowledge of related technical domains.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage and interpret complex information.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without compromising quality.
  • Work Ethic: A meticulous and methodical approach to work, with an unwavering commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. Superior interpersonal and organizational skills are essential for effective stakeholder management.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?
