About the Role

We're working with an established Los Angeles law firm seeking a

Labor & Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

to join its employment litigation practice.

This is an opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in employment litigation, particularly

wage and hour class actions

, who wants to take on sophisticated matters while working alongside experienced attorneys.

The practice handles both single-plaintiff employment disputes and class action litigation. The position also involves advising employers on workplace issues and providing employment law counseling.

The firm offers a

$260,000-$340,000 base salary

, with additional discretionary bonus opportunities tied to performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Handle employer-side employment litigation matters, including single-plaintiff cases and class actions.

  • Work on wage and hour class action litigation.

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.

  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

  • Advise employers on employment law matters and workplace compliance.

  • Provide practical employment law counseling to clients.

  • Work closely with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of employment litigation experience preferred. Attorneys with 2-4 years of strong, relevant experience will also be considered.

  • Active membership in good standing with the

State Bar of California

.

  • Wage and hour class action litigation experience is required.

  • Strong background handling employment litigation matters.

  • Experience providing employment law advice and client counseling.

  • Strong academic credentials.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage assignments independently and work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Background

  • Traditional labor law experience.

  • Experience handling both single-plaintiff employment disputes and class action litigation.

  • Experience advising employers on workplace policies and employment law compliance.

Work Model

This position follows a hybrid schedule requiring 4 days per week in the firm's Century City office, with 1 day remote.

Compensation

Base Salary: $260,000-$340,000

In addition to base salary, the firm offers a discretionary bonus opportunity.

Associates who meet the firm's minimum performance standards, including approximately

1,900 annual billable hours

, may reasonably expect total annual compensation of approximately

$410,000-$475,000

, inclusive of base salary and discretionary bonus.

Additional bonus opportunities may be available for hours billed and collected above 1,900 and for originated business.

Actual bonuses are discretionary and not guaranteed.
