About the role

Scientific Systems is hiring a Senior Growth Operations and Business Development Manager to bring structure, discipline, and rigor to how the Growth team runs pipeline and forecast management, reporting, compliance tracking, and execution support for the Business Development team. This is a deliberately hands-on role: given SSCI's size, the Sr Growth Operations and BD Manager will move fluidly between strategic work (forecast rigor, reporting, process design) and tactical execution (trade show logistics, meeting prep, budget tracking). The role reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer and carries the CGO's explicit backing to hold opportunity owners accountable for accurate, timely pipeline data. The Sr Growth Operations and BD Manager will build the operating rhythm, tools, and reporting that let the Business Development team remain forward-facing and focus on winning business.

Essential Functions:

Pipeline & Forecast Management

  • Build and maintain Salesforce (SFDC) dashboards to run weekly forecast meetings
  • Develop products and materials used to present pipeline and forecast data to leadership
  • Maintain SFDC data integrity, holding opportunity owners accountable, on the CGO's authority for accurate, up-to-date records, including close dates, opportunity details, and conversion plans

Growth Reporting

  • Gather inputs from the BD team each week for the Growth Report
  • Compile and format the Growth Report for distribution to leadership

Compliance & Contract Support

  • Track NDA status and execution across the BD team
  • Track export compliance milestones for the team and escalate gaps to SSCI's compliance function. This role monitors flags status, it does not make compliance determinations

External Meeting & Engagement Support

  • Coordinate logistics, clearances, and briefing materials for external meetings
  • Track action items and deliverables from external engagements through to completion

Trade Show & Event Management

  • Own trade show and engagement schedule, including read-ahead materials for attendees
  • Manage show logistics currently handled by outside vendors (e.g., carpeting, labor, electrical), with an eye toward reducing costs over time
  • Represent SSCI as a consistent booth presence at select shows (first in, last out) including booth build and teardown

Budget & Team Operations

  • Track Growth and Marketing budgets
  • Manage the BD team's shared calendar and help the CGO stay on top of team activity at a glance

Marketing Coordination

  • Process marketing-related expense reports
  • Qualify inbound website leads and route them

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOD Security Clearance.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of sales operations, revenue operations, business development support, or program coordination ideally in defense, aerospace, or another government-contracting environment
  • Hands-on Salesforce (SFDC) administration experience: building dashboards and reports, not just using them
  • Strong Excel/data skills; Tableau or Looker experience a plus
  • Experience with U.S. export control concepts
  • U.S. Person status may be required given exposure to export-controlled program information [confirm with compliance/HR]

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic familiarity with U.S. export control concepts (ITAR/EAR) a plus; no compliance determination authority required or expected
  • Experience operating at both ends of the spectrum pulling pipeline analytics one day, packing a trade show booth the next
  • (ITAR/EAR) experience a plus; no compliance determination authority required or expected
  • Excellent written and verbal communications

Benefits

  • Salary: $178,300 - $230,000 (Depends on Experience)
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
  • Short Term & Long Term Disability
  • Training & Development
  • Hybrid Work Schedule
  • Free Food & Snacks
  • Wellness Resources

Frequently asked questions

Answers about finding your next role

What can I search for?

Search by job title or keyword, then browse remote, hybrid, and onsite openings in one list.

Where can I find remote jobs?

Browse remote openings on Remote Amigo. Search by job title or keyword, then choose Remote in the work format filter. Check each listing for location or country requirements.

How do I narrow the results?

Choose a country, work format, minimum annual salary, and experience level. You can change or clear the filters at any time.

What will I see on a job page?

Each listing shows the role, company, location, work format, salary when available, skills when provided, and a job description.

Do I need an account to browse jobs?

No. You can search and read the available listings without signing in.

Does this site submit job applications for me?

No. You can search and review listings here. The Apply button starts the job preference quiz; it does not submit an application to an employer.

Where do the jobs come from?

Listings are imported from public job feeds and job sites. Job details may change at the original source, so confirm the latest information before applying.

How recent are the listings?

Search results include listings with a publication date in the last 30 days. If a source provides no publication date, the import date is used; the actual posting may be older.

Can I search for remote jobs only?

Yes. Select Remote in the job type filter to show remote listings. You can switch to Hybrid or Onsite whenever you want.

What is the difference between remote, hybrid, and onsite?

Remote roles are intended to be done away from an office. Hybrid roles combine remote and office work. Onsite roles are based at a workplace. Always read the listing for its exact location requirements.

Can I filter jobs by country?

Yes. Choose a country in the search form to narrow the listings. A remote role may still have country restrictions, so check its description before applying.

Why do some jobs have no salary listed?

Some listings do not include pay information. We show a salary when it is available and leave it out when it is not provided.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?

Yes. Change the keyword, country, job type, salary, or level in the search form. You can clear individual fields and run a broader search again.
