We are looking for an experienced mechanic to perform servicing, maintenance and repairs of buses and lorries. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-vehicle mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and repair buses and lorries to ensure proper working condition.
- Diagnose and rectify diesel engine problems.
- Perform engine servicing, oil changes and filter replacements.
- Repair and replace clutches, gearboxes, brakes, suspension and steering components.
- Identify and rectify oil leaks, coolant leaks and other mechanical faults.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and routine vehicle inspections.
- Repair or replace worn-out and damaged mechanical parts.
- Attend vehicle breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when required.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and properly use workshop tools.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- ITI in Diesel Mechanic, Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bus and lorry mechanical repairs.
- Good knowledge of diesel engines and heavy commercial vehicles.
- Practical experience in engine, brake, clutch, gearbox and suspension repairs.
- Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs independently.
- Knowledge of workshop safety procedures.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: ₹25,000+ per month, based on experience and skills.
