Supplier Business Development Manager
About the role
Our Avnet Silica team in Italy is looking for experienced Supplier Business Development Manager! We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented professional to lead supplier development initiatives, identify new opportunities, and optimize our supplier network. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our sourcing strategy, enhancing supplier performance, and contributing to our long-term success in a fast-paced, global environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manages the supplier business plan and implementation process throughout the organization
- Align goals and objectives of supplier with the company to ensure mutual goals and objectives are achieved.
- Determine, monitor and recommend plans for the supplier, company business relationship on a tactical and strategic level.
- Participate in supplier business reviews providing appropriate data and engaging in resolving issues.
- Identify and drive new supplier opportunities with particular emphasis on the development of new services that blend unique supplier resource/capability along with service/capability to create a unique value proposition.
- Support cross functional communication with the company's product groups in price negotiations and market knowledge.
- Responsible for the management of activities and programs that will drive the supplier’s pro-forma performance in an effort to achieve Avnet's financial goals.
- Perform analysis and reports of various program impact for the supplier.
- Manage forecasting pipeline requirements and rebate projections.
- Drive demand creation and design-in activities for FPGA solutions
- Identify and develop new opportunities in key markets (AI, industrial, automotive, networking)
- Engage with customers at system and architecture level
Requirements
- Experience on SBDM or similar role is mandatory
- Education in electronic field is desirable
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Ability for frequent travelling's across Italy

Compensation Details For This Position
- The starting compensation for this role is at minimum an On-Target Earnings amount (Base Pay + On-Target Variable Pay) of € 62.000
- Variable Compensation: This position is eligible for a variable compensation plan and the pay-mix (if applicable) will be finalized at the offer stage.
- Total Rewards: In addition to the cash compensation we also offer a number of benefits depending on location and role. (e.g. flexible working, accident & life Insurance, meal vouchers)
The exact compensation package for the successful candidate picked for the position will be based on a number of objective factors, such as experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications or location.
