Job Overview

UrsaNav® is seeking a skilled, responsive Visual Communications & Multimedia Designer to support our marketing, technical communications, and multimedia initiatives.

Working for the Director of Marketing, this position requires a versatile designer who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, professional visual content while meeting fast-paced deadlines. This position is primarily remote, but may occasionally require an in-person meeting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Video Production & Editing: Create professional marketing videos, technical explainers, motion graphics, animations, and event content.
  • Technical Illustration: Develop accurate diagrams, schematics, vector graphics, and product illustrations.
  • Graphic Design: Produce brochures, presentations, product sheets, trade show materials, and digital content.
  • Website Support: Create and update website graphics and visual assets. This is not a webmaster position.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain professional, technically accurate visuals across all communications.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, particularly Illustrator and Premiere Pro. After Effects experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in video editing, graphic design, and technical illustration.
  • Experience with AI-assisted creative tools such as Runway AI or similar platforms for video production, animation, and multimedia workflows. Candidates must also demonstrate strong hands-on design and editing skills independent of generative AI.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Experience designing for professional B2B audiences; technical industry experience preferred.
  • Strong responsiveness, reliability, and ability to meet short-turnaround deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, incorporate feedback, and maintain organized, editable source files.

Experience with engineering, aerospace, defense, telecommunications, or related industries is a plus.

Position Details

This is a remote/ hybrid, hourly position with a guaranteed minimum number of hours per month. The designer will work directly with UrsaNav's Director of Marketing and participate in recurring virtual or in-person meetings, as required.

Why do some jobs have no salary listed?

Some listings do not include pay information. We show a salary when it is available and leave it out when it is not provided.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?
