About the role
This role sits at the critical point between customer requirements, technical feasibility and commercial delivery. You'll take ownership of the estimating and quotation process, translating customer needs into accurate, clearly scoped and commercially sound proposals that can move confidently into production and delivery. Working across Sales, Engineering, Operations and Deployment, you'll help ensure we get the scope, price and solution right from the outset.

Key responsibilities

    Quotation & Commercial Management

    • Turn customer enquiries and qualified opportunities into accurate, timely and commercially sound quotations.
    • Take ownership of quotations from initial request through to order readiness, ensuring customer requirements, pricing and scope are clearly understood and documented.
    • Prepare estimates that balance technical requirements, customer expectations and commercial outcomes.
    • Apply sound commercial judgement to protect margin while supporting competitive and compelling customer proposals.
    • Scope Definition & Risk Management

      • Develop clear and comprehensive scopes of work, including assumptions, exclusions, contingencies and any non-standard requirements.
      • Identify technical, commercial and delivery risks early and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve them before quotation.
      • Ensure each quote provides a clear foundation for production, installation and delivery, minimising downstream ambiguity, rework and variations.
      • Challenge incomplete or unclear requirements and proactively obtain the information needed to produce a reliable estimate.
      • Technical & Pre-Sales Collaboration

        • Partner with Engineering, Hardware Design and other technical teams to scope, cost and validate new or complex customer requirements.
        • Act as a key point of contact for pre-sales enquiries requiring technical or commercial clarification.
        • Interpret tender documentation, architectural drawings and construction information to develop accurate estimates and scopes.
        • Help customers and internal stakeholders make timely decisions by resolving technical and commercial questions early in the sales process.
        • Order Readiness & Handover

          • Ensure accepted quotations are accurate, complete and ready for efficient conversion into sales orders.
          • Work closely with Sales Operations, Order Management and Deployment to ensure a seamless handover from quotation through to delivery.
          • Maintain high-quality quoting and order data to support downstream planning, production and installation.
          • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate estimating and quoting processes, partnering with Sales Operations and Account Management to improve efficiency and the customer experience.

What you'll bring

    • 3–5 years' experience in estimating, pre-sales, quoting or a related commercial role, ideally within a project-based, construction, manufacturing or technical environment.
    • Strong commercial judgement, with demonstrated ability to produce accurate estimates and understand the impact of scope, cost and margin.
    • Experience interpreting tender documentation, architectural plans, specifications and/or construction drawings.
    • Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and solve problems.
    • Experience using estimating, quoting, CRM or ERP systems.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with detailed commercial data.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across multiple functions.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about finding your next role

What can I search for?

Search by job title or keyword, then browse remote, hybrid, and onsite openings in one list.

Where can I find remote jobs?

Browse remote openings on Remote Amigo. Search by job title or keyword, then choose Remote in the work format filter. Check each listing for location or country requirements.

How do I narrow the results?

Choose a country, work format, minimum annual salary, and experience level. You can change or clear the filters at any time.

What will I see on a job page?

Each listing shows the role, company, location, work format, salary when available, skills when provided, and a job description.

Do I need an account to browse jobs?

No. You can search and read the available listings without signing in.

Does this site submit job applications for me?

No. You can search and review listings here. The Apply button starts the job preference quiz; it does not submit an application to an employer.

Where do the jobs come from?

Listings are imported from public job feeds and job sites. Job details may change at the original source, so confirm the latest information before applying.

How recent are the listings?

Search results include listings with a publication date in the last 30 days. If a source provides no publication date, the import date is used; the actual posting may be older.

Can I search for remote jobs only?

Yes. Select Remote in the job type filter to show remote listings. You can switch to Hybrid or Onsite whenever you want.

What is the difference between remote, hybrid, and onsite?

Remote roles are intended to be done away from an office. Hybrid roles combine remote and office work. Onsite roles are based at a workplace. Always read the listing for its exact location requirements.

Can I filter jobs by country?

Yes. Choose a country in the search form to narrow the listings. A remote role may still have country restrictions, so check its description before applying.

Why do some jobs have no salary listed?

Some listings do not include pay information. We show a salary when it is available and leave it out when it is not provided.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?

Yes. Change the keyword, country, job type, salary, or level in the search form. You can clear individual fields and run a broader search again.
