About the role

to make more informed decisions about their health. We break down barriers, myths, and taboos. Our workplace is agile, diverse, and full of opportunities for growth.

About the role

We’re looking for a Freelance Community Moderator for a project-based engagement to help us scale and establish our new Clue Community feature, keeping it safe, kind and true to what it’s for.

Clue Community is an anonymous, in-app space where people can connect with others who understand and support them. It's peer support: members do most of the talking, answering and reassuring. The job is to make that possible and keep it safe. Some days that means stepping in. Most days it means knowing when to stay out.

The community covers some of the most emotionally loaded health experiences there are, including years long struggles before getting diagnosed, loss and fertility treatment. You'll read hard posts, make careful calls and write replies that sound like a real person, not a brand.

Project scope

Moderation and safety

  • Check the community and review flagged posts and comments, and act in line with the and guidelines.
  • Decide when to stay out, comment, move a post to the right group, remove content or ban a member, and always give members a clear reason.
  • Protect anonymity: remove anything that could identify a member or someone else, and escalate possible GDPR issues.
  • Keep clinical advice and unverified health claims out of the community, including in members' replies.
  • Follow the crisis protocol when a member may be at risk: leave the post up, escalate straight away and post the approved reply once.
  • Escalate unclear cases, appeals and threats
  • Log every removal, ban and monitoring decision in the shared moderation sheet.

Member replies

  • Understand and follow the community guidelines when moderating the forum.
  • Write replies in Clue's voice when a moderator comment is the right call.
  • Point any questions to Customer Support or other teams when needed
  • Pass feedback to the Product team and Science team.
  • Sharing the collected learnings and observations for further development of the feature.

What you bring

  • Some experience moderating or supporting an online community, forum or social channel. Volunteer experience counts.
  • Excellent written English. You can say something kind and clear in three short sentences.
  • Additional languages are a plus, especially Spanish and/or Portuguese.
  • Calm, steady judgement on sensitive topics. You can read a hard post, act on it and step back.
  • Discretion and a strong sense of privacy. You understand why anonymity matters in a reproductive health space.
  • Comfort following a guide closely, and the confidence to flag when a case doesn't fit it.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and how they can support careful, human work.
  • Organised and reliable. You log decisions, keep to a daily rhythm and follow through.

Nice to have

  • Interest in reproductive health or women's health.
  • Basic knowledge of GDPR or the EU Digital Services Act.
  • Mental health first aid or crisis-awareness training. If you don't have it yet, we'll support you to get it.
  • Experience with Slack, Google Sheets or community platforms.

Good to know

  • Location: Remote
  • Contract: Freelance, up to 20 hours per week
  • Reporting to: Director of Customer Success and Operations
  • Support: this role involves reading distressing content. You'll get crisis-protocol onboarding, a clear escalation path and regular check-ins with your manager.

Note

We encourage applications even if you do not meet every requirement. We are looking for potential and impact, not perfection.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about finding your next role

What can I search for?

Search by job title or keyword, then browse remote, hybrid, and onsite openings in one list.

Where can I find remote jobs?

Browse remote openings on Remote Amigo. Search by job title or keyword, then choose Remote in the work format filter. Check each listing for location or country requirements.

How do I narrow the results?

Choose a country, work format, minimum annual salary, and experience level. You can change or clear the filters at any time.

What will I see on a job page?

Each listing shows the role, company, location, work format, salary when available, skills when provided, and a job description.

Do I need an account to browse jobs?

No. You can search and read the available listings without signing in.

Does this site submit job applications for me?

No. You can search and review listings here. The Apply button starts the job preference quiz; it does not submit an application to an employer.

Where do the jobs come from?

Listings are imported from public job feeds and job sites. Job details may change at the original source, so confirm the latest information before applying.

How recent are the listings?

Search results include listings with a publication date in the last 30 days. If a source provides no publication date, the import date is used; the actual posting may be older.

Can I search for remote jobs only?

Yes. Select Remote in the job type filter to show remote listings. You can switch to Hybrid or Onsite whenever you want.

What is the difference between remote, hybrid, and onsite?

Remote roles are intended to be done away from an office. Hybrid roles combine remote and office work. Onsite roles are based at a workplace. Always read the listing for its exact location requirements.

Can I filter jobs by country?

Yes. Choose a country in the search form to narrow the listings. A remote role may still have country restrictions, so check its description before applying.

Why do some jobs have no salary listed?

Some listings do not include pay information. We show a salary when it is available and leave it out when it is not provided.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?

Yes. Change the keyword, country, job type, salary, or level in the search form. You can clear individual fields and run a broader search again.
