About the role

Hello, our name is Customertimes, but you can call us CT. We are a global digital engineering, product development, and technology consulting company. Headquartered in New York, we have a team of 1000+ experts working across 65+ countries.

About this job:

We need to backfill a Data Governance Analyst role on the Databricks Lakehouse modernization program to maintain continuity of business glossary curation, cross-domain terminology governance, and semantic layer validation. This is a business/data-facing role: defining and reconciling business terms across domains, keeping those terms correctly linked to their underlying Unity Catalog assets, and confirming that reporting surfaces (dashboards, Genie, the glossary app itself) reflect agreed-upon definitions.

Location: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Canada (remote)

How you'll make an impact:

  • Own and maintain the enterprise business glossary — defining new terms, resolving inconsistencies, and keeping definitions current as new domains onboard to the platform;
  • Ensure medallion-layer data elements are defined and linked — working with data engineering and platform teams so that Bronze, Silver, and Gold data elements are properly defined in Unity Catalog and linked to their corresponding entry in the Business Glossary application, using Claude and other AI tooling plus governance best practices to keep pace with the volume of definitions needed;
  • Reconcile domain-specific terminology against the canonical knowledge catalog — e.g., aligning a domain's terms with existing definitions and adding net-new terms where real gaps exist;
  • Review and confirm glossary-to-Unity-Catalog term linkage — keeping glossary definitions mapped to the correct technical assets as catalog structure evolves;
  • Validate catalog and domain setup against the intended architecture — flagging misalignments before they reach production;
  • Obtain business approval of data definitions — working directly with data partners across the business to review and formally approve glossary definitions, not just collect informal feedback;
  • Run structured business-glossary feedback cycles — with stakeholders across domains, on a recurring basis;
  • Support UAT for glossary-linked reporting surfaces — triaging content-level defects and routing them to the correct technical owner;
  • Serve as the continuity point for glossary and governance organizational knowledge — documenting definitions, decisions, and open items so this knowledge is durable and does not depend on any single person.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field;
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks;
  • Experience in the insurance industry;
  • Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform;
  • Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools.

Core skills:

  • Business glossary and metadata curation — authoring and maintaining business term definitions in a centralized glossary tool, and linking terms to their underlying Unity Catalog schemas, tables, and columns;
  • Cross-domain terminology reconciliation — resolving conflicting or duplicate definitions across business domains (e.g., Finance vs. Claims) and adding new terms to the canonical knowledge catalog as domains onboard;
  • Data classification and catalog structure review — reviewing a domain's catalog/schema setup against the intended enterprise architecture to confirm objects are organized and classified consistently;
  • Semantic layer / UAT validation — participating in UAT cycles for glossary-linked reporting layers (dashboards, Genie rooms), and triaging content-level defects (e.g., inconsistent hierarchy items, incorrect domain filtering) distinct from underlying data or pipeline bugs;
  • Data governance framework literacy — working familiarity with data classification, retention, lineage, and access-policy concepts, so glossary and catalog decisions stay aligned with the platform's broader governance model even though this role does not own their technical enforcement;
  • Medallion architecture awareness — understanding of Bronze/Silver/Gold layer conventions well enough to identify which data elements at each layer need a defined, Unity Catalog-linked business term;
  • AI-assisted governance workflows — using Claude and other AI tooling, alongside established governance best practices, to accelerate definition drafting, consistency checks, and glossary curation rather than working purely manually;
  • Stakeholder facilitation and sign-off — running structured feedback rounds with business stakeholders to gather, validate, and secure formal approval of term definitions, as a recurring cadence rather than a one-time exercise.

Other skills:

  • English – excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a global, multinational company with colleagues from many countries*;
  • Ability to lead conversations with both technical and business representatives;
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of an international project team.

If you're looking to contribute to global projects, grow your skills, shape the way you work, and be part of a connected international community — Customertimes is the place to build your next career chapter. Are you ready to spark the tech with us?

Frequently asked questions

Answers about finding your next role

What can I search for?

Search by job title or keyword, then browse remote, hybrid, and onsite openings in one list.

Where can I find remote jobs?

Browse remote openings on Remote Amigo. Search by job title or keyword, then choose Remote in the work format filter. Check each listing for location or country requirements.

How do I narrow the results?

Choose a country, work format, minimum annual salary, and experience level. You can change or clear the filters at any time.

What will I see on a job page?

Each listing shows the role, company, location, work format, salary when available, skills when provided, and a job description.

Do I need an account to browse jobs?

No. You can search and read the available listings without signing in.

Does this site submit job applications for me?

No. You can search and review listings here. The Apply button starts the job preference quiz; it does not submit an application to an employer.

Where do the jobs come from?

Listings are imported from public job feeds and job sites. Job details may change at the original source, so confirm the latest information before applying.

How recent are the listings?

Search results include listings with a publication date in the last 30 days. If a source provides no publication date, the import date is used; the actual posting may be older.

Can I search for remote jobs only?

Yes. Select Remote in the job type filter to show remote listings. You can switch to Hybrid or Onsite whenever you want.

What is the difference between remote, hybrid, and onsite?

Remote roles are intended to be done away from an office. Hybrid roles combine remote and office work. Onsite roles are based at a workplace. Always read the listing for its exact location requirements.

Can I filter jobs by country?

Yes. Choose a country in the search form to narrow the listings. A remote role may still have country restrictions, so check its description before applying.

Why do some jobs have no salary listed?

Some listings do not include pay information. We show a salary when it is available and leave it out when it is not provided.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?

Yes. Change the keyword, country, job type, salary, or level in the search form. You can clear individual fields and run a broader search again.
