About the role

XO Health believes healthcare is fixable. Become part of the community changing the face of the industry.

XO Health is the first health plan designed by and for self-insured employers that delivers a more unified health experience for everyone – from those who receive care, to those who deliver it, to those who pay for it.

We are growing a multi-disciplinary team of diverse and digitally empowered employees ready to rebuild trust in healthcare through comprehensive and unified transformation.

ABOUT XO HEALTH:

XO Health is a technology-driven health plan built for self-insured employers. We serve employers, members, and providers through a value-based care network, a risk contracting engine, and a real-time data and analytics platform. We are a small, fast-moving team where every person owns outcomes, not just tasks.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Implementation Lead owns the end-to-end onboarding of new employer groups and TPA partners, from signed agreement through effective date and a stable first 60 days. You are the single point of accountability for a clean, on-time go-live: the plan is built correctly, eligibility flows, ID cards and welcome kits land, the member app is configured, and the client knows exactly where things stand at every step.

This is a hands-on, build-the-playbook role. You will run implementations yourself while standardizing how XO does them, so that each one is faster and cleaner than the last. You will work across Commercial, Plan Operations, Claims, Network, IT, and Compliance, and you will be the person clients, brokers, and TPAs trust to get them live.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client and TPA Onboarding:

  • Lead the full implementation lifecycle for new employer groups and TPA partners, from kickoff through effective date and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Build and maintain the implementation plan for each client: benefit design and plan documents, group structure, eligibility and enrollment setup, stop-loss coordination, vendor and partner integrations, member communications, and compliance requirements.
  • Own the accurate setup of each group across XO’s systems and partner platforms, including benefit configuration, eligibility file testing, ID card and welcome kit production, member app configuration, and any SSO or portal integrations.
  • Translate client-specific requirements into clear instructions for internal teams and confirm they are executed correctly before go-live.

Project Management:

  • Run the cross-functional implementation team and ensure critical milestones are completed. Surface risks early, resolve blockers, and escalate with a recommendation when needed.
  • Coordinate with Claims, Plan Operations, Network, IT, Compliance, and Finance to ensure ownership is properly assigned and dates are adhered to .
  • Maintain a regular reporting cadence with leadership and flag anything that puts a go-live at risk.

Client Communication:

  • Serve as the primary contact for the client, broker, and TPA throughout implementation. Lead recurring status meetings and keep a clear record of open items and decisions.
  • Prepare client-facing implementation documentation, checklists, and readiness sign-offs.
  • Hand off cleanly to the ongoing account owner at the end of the stabilization period, with full documentation of the group’s setup and any open items.

Playbook and Continuous Improvement:

  • Own XO’s implementation playbook: standard timelines, checklists, templates, and data requirements for employer and TPA onboarding.
  • Identify manual steps and failure points in the process and work with Operations and Product to automate or remove them.
  • Turn lessons from each implementation into playbook improvements that strengthen the process and enable scale ahead of growth.

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:

Required:

  • 5+ years in implementation, client onboarding, or project management within self-funded health benefits, TPA operations, or a health plan.
  • Working knowledge of self-funded medical and pharmacy plan design, and the compliance landscape that comes with it (ERISA, ACA, CAA, Mental Health Parity).
  • Direct experience running complex, multi-party healthcare implementations on a fixed effective date.
  • Fluency in the employer and TPA distribution channel, including how brokers, consultants, benefits administrators, and stop-loss carriers fit together.
  • Comfort with eligibility files, enrollment data, and system configuration. You do not need to be technical, but you need to be precise and unafraid of the details.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can confidently lead client discussions and provide leadership with direct, well-informed answers.
  • Strong organizational skills and the judgment to prioritize when everything feels urgent.

Preferred:

  • Experience implementing on behalf of, or alongside, a TPA.
  • Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company where you built the process rather than inherited it.
  • Familiarity with health plan technology platforms, member apps, or provider directory tools.
  • PMP or similar project management credentials.

KEY PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Accountability: you own the outcome and say so when something is off track.

Critical Thinking: you solve problems from first principles and learn what the organization needs next.

Change Champion: you are committed to building and comfortable when the plan changes.

Relationships:you build trust quickly with clients, partners, and colleagues.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
$125,000—$140,000 USD

Frequently asked questions

Answers about finding your next role

What can I search for?

Search by job title or keyword, then browse remote, hybrid, and onsite openings in one list.

Where can I find remote jobs?

Browse remote openings on Remote Amigo. Search by job title or keyword, then choose Remote in the work format filter. Check each listing for location or country requirements.

How do I narrow the results?

Choose a country, work format, minimum annual salary, and experience level. You can change or clear the filters at any time.

What will I see on a job page?

Each listing shows the role, company, location, work format, salary when available, skills when provided, and a job description.

Do I need an account to browse jobs?

No. You can search and read the available listings without signing in.

Does this site submit job applications for me?

No. You can search and review listings here. The Apply button starts the job preference quiz; it does not submit an application to an employer.

Where do the jobs come from?

Listings are imported from public job feeds and job sites. Job details may change at the original source, so confirm the latest information before applying.

How recent are the listings?

Search results include listings with a publication date in the last 30 days. If a source provides no publication date, the import date is used; the actual posting may be older.

Can I search for remote jobs only?

Yes. Select Remote in the job type filter to show remote listings. You can switch to Hybrid or Onsite whenever you want.

What is the difference between remote, hybrid, and onsite?

Remote roles are intended to be done away from an office. Hybrid roles combine remote and office work. Onsite roles are based at a workplace. Always read the listing for its exact location requirements.

Can I filter jobs by country?

Yes. Choose a country in the search form to narrow the listings. A remote role may still have country restrictions, so check its description before applying.

Why do some jobs have no salary listed?

Some listings do not include pay information. We show a salary when it is available and leave it out when it is not provided.

Is the salary filter a monthly or annual amount?

The minimum salary field uses US dollars per year. It filters listings that have comparable salary information.

Can I change or clear my search filters?

Yes. Change the keyword, country, job type, salary, or level in the search form. You can clear individual fields and run a broader search again.
